HMS Trincomalee Interpretation Centre
Hartlepool: 1998-99

In 1998 we beat 97 entrants to win the commission for a new interpretation centre for HMS Trincomalee, the oldest warship in the UK still afloat.

The challenge was how best to view an object of this size and complexity and how to respond to the exposed microclimate and maritime context of Hartlepool.
