First patented in 1984, and now commonplace in various guises, the original reflector downlighter was designed as part of a whole family of fittings including interior and exterior lights and an integrated ceiling lighting system.
The 'millennium post' was conceived as a generic structure, made up of standard interchangeable components, that formed the basis for an entire range of street furniture, including seats, bicycle stands, waste bins, bus stops, signage and lighting.
