The mount was 130m (426ft) high, the centrepiece of a new waterside
wilderness park and a topographical feature visible from throughout the
lower Thames valley.
It had a spiral promenade to a viewing platform at the
top and inside it would have been big enough for the millennium year
exhibition, initially, and a trade exhibition space, subsequently.
