The IMAX here was unique in that it was intended purely as a visitor centre to show a specially commissioned film on the origins and development of Dubai.
The building could therefore develop in a more overtly expressive language - of Ledoux - the oasis and desert dunes - a response to the extraordinary genius loci that is Dubai.
